Twenty years in, I still think the best part of the job is watching someone on my team do something they didn't know they could.

I'm a strategic UX design leader with twenty years of experience shaping digital experiences and building high-impact design teams. I believe deeply in human-centered design, and my work bridges user empathy with business strategy to drive meaningful transformation in enterprise and SaaS products.

I bring a nuanced understanding of the full product lifecycle, shaped by leadership roles at global technology firms including SAP Labs, Cisco, Automation Anywhere, and Okta, and by earlier years at Accenture, Cognizant, and Infosys.

Along the way I've built teams from scratch, moved design from a service function to a partner in the roadmap, and mentored designers who went on to lead at companies like Google, Amazon, and TikTok. At my core, I'm driven by the mission to create meaningful, joyful experiences that solve real problems and push innovation forward.

As Director of Product Design and Design Site Lead for Okta's India Innovation Center, I lead both design and research across several product areas, with product design leads and managers reporting to me. The practice was eight people when I joined and is now more than fifteen.

Beyond work

I grew up in Kolkata, spent six years in the Bay Area, and call Bangalore home. Away from work I'm a husband and a dad, and happiest behind a camera, behind the wheel, or at the stove. The most recent road trip was 3,000 km across Spain. Weekends are for badminton and cooking something new for the family. Photography is how I pay attention to wherever I am.
