What is Cisco UCM?
Cisco Unified Communications Manager is the heart of Cisco collaboration services with more than 200,000 customers worldwide, over 85 million Cisco IP Phones, and tens of millions of soft clients deployed.
What is the project Cloud Connect UC all about?
Cisco Webex Cloud-Connected UC is a suite of cloud services that help optimize Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) service performance by providing business metrics and operational workflows through the Webex cloud, such as Certificate Management and Troubleshooting for all clusters, for both UCM and UCM Cloud.
Problem Statement
How might we strategically transition on-premises customers to the cloud by delivering incremental value-added services that build long-term trust and confidence in our cloud subscription model?
Cisco recognizes that many on-premises customers have extensive infrastructure investments and ongoing operational costs. To prevent these customers from switching to competitors and to facilitate their digital transformation, Cisco is developing user-friendly cloud services that can seamlessly integrate with and run on existing on-premises infrastructure, providing a gradual and manageable path to cloud adoption.
Proposed approach
Cisco's solution bridges on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms, enabling real-time visibility into infrastructure usage and utilization. Administrators can leverage this data to optimize resource allocation, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce overall IT costs.
Target Users
Final Outcome
After multiple rounds of brainstorming and discussion with power users, the MVP was delivered which was divided into 2 parts

UCM Mgmt
Cisco provides a comprehensive, unified management interface that gives on-premises customers a holistic view of their entire infrastructure—something previously impossible. The platform features an intuitive onboarding wizard for Unified Communications Manager (UCM) clusters, enabling centralized management of services, upgrade scheduling, and comprehensive system oversight from a single dashboard.
Analytics
Cisco has developed an advanced analytics platform that empowers users with deep data exploration capabilities. By leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence, the tool enables interactive data visualization, allowing users to select custom date ranges, drill down into insights, and uncover complex correlations across multiple data points.
The platform's roadmap advances from descriptive to prescriptive and ultimately predictive analytics, transitioning from merely reporting past events to proactively identifying potential issues and recommending optimal solutions.
